To import a database, click MySQL Database in myCP, and then choose the Dump option under “Transfer DB”.  The following page will require you to enter the name/address of the server, the name of the database, login name, and password for both the remote server as well as the destination.

You can also, after creating a new database, log into phpMyAdmin and click the Import tab to import a database from a file. Just click the Browse button to specify the file’s location on your computer. If you are importing a database created on a database server running a version of MySQL prior to 4.0 or running different database software, you will need to select the option for that type from the Database Compatability Mode drop down menu in the Format of imported file section.
