Start by typing “change root” into the Find box in the upper left corner of your WHM session, then click the “Change Root Password” link. The following page will allow you to set a password or generate a secure password: if you choose to set your own password, be certain to make sure it is secure, as attacks against WHM servers are common and a password containing a name or word that can be found in a dictionary will be easily cracked.
