Parallels Plesk
Designed in Novosibirsk, Russia, the Parallels Plesk software, formerly known simply as Plesk prior to the 2008 merger of Parallels and SWsoft (the company which acquired Plesk in 2003), is a comprehensive commercial web hosting automation solution.
Parallels Plesk allows a server administrator to set up e-mail accounts, new websites and DNS entries through a web based interface. The administrator is able to create client and site templates, which in turn predetermine resource allocation parameters for the domains and/or clients.
Parallels Plesk is both Linux and Windows based. Plesk for Linux or UNIX supports multiple POSIX platforms including Red Hat Linux/Fedora, SUSE, Debian/Ubuntu and FreeBSD. Plesk for Windows supports Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 operating systems.
